A lot of businesses participate in events….some a few times a year and others every weekend or more! It’s community outreach and getting those face-to-face interactions. Those that are great at it are able to capture information and collect leads that land them new customers.
TIPS for setting up your space
DO let them see and touch your product.
Carpets and More does a great job on displaying their products and even puts a floor in their booth space. You can see the kids really testing their carpet!
DO provide a fun service.
Aren’t all people attracted to fun? Have you ever seen a busy area and wondered “what is going on there?” That’s the reaction you are looking for.
Air Flow Designs Heating & Air Conditioning brings a face painter for the kids and has a “cool” interactive A/C unit.
State Farm – Jeffrey B Campbell brought caricature artists and branded their logo on each caricature drawing!
DO think about giveaways that work.
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute brought sunblock and chapstick with SPF, which worked perfectly with the hot, sunny day!
Oviedo Medical Center brought fans and since it was unusually hot in our October event…everyone was walking around with them!
DO make your space inviting.
It’s easy to block people out of your space by placing a table up front….other options include placing them on the side of the tent or in the back, as 105.9 Sunny FM has done.
